11 minutes, 42 seconds

Right click “Save as…”

Once again, we catch up with Bill Gates on Channel 9. This time we talk to Bill at the Office Developer Conference and he shares the history of Office as a developer platform, some hints on the future of Access, how he personally uses Office 2007, if he still writes code, and his view on whether Office has hit the productivity plateau.

He must be grown since TechED Tongue Out

Anyway: awesome interview. I like the way how Dan does interviews - also the weekly show is great!! Keep it coming Dan.
  • Yeah, definitely liking this new influx of videos.

Now if only they would post a (provisional even!) schedule in advance so that we could post questions that we think Dan should ask whoever he is interviewing....

Channel 9 is officially back! (it never left, but these daily vids are just like the good ol' days). Smiley
  • Dan, as you were in silicon valley and there is this one story dominating the Tech world today.....Bill, do you Yahoo! ???
  • Awesome Dan,
But if you kinda mention, whom u gonna interview next then we(Niners) can have lot of fun & even tell for some particular questions that we would like to listen about...

    thx anyways..
  • Cool interview, I do like the way Bill takes time for answering your questions. He's such a brain. Although he will alwys have the public against him, it's unbelievable to see what an amount of knowledge this guy has.
I'm sure Ray Ozzie has aswell and a lot of others around MS, but this guy was there from the beginning. It's a good thing that he has chosen to do what he really likes to do: spending time with his wife for charity, but it's a great loss for the computer world!

I think this is a great idea.  We've had this feedback in the past.  We could not do it for all interviews (doing so might disclose something in advance that we might not be ready to talk about), we could look at doing it for quite a few of the interviews.

It could be as simple as teeing up a thread in advance in the coffeehouse or sending out a call for questions via Twitter.

  • Nice interview!
  • ZeoZeo Channel 9 :)

Awesome interview!! Keep up the good work dan and team! Big Smile

Great little talk.  I was pleased to hear about what is being done with MS Access.  A product that is still after all this time, not used to its potential.  I appreciate and enjoy listening to these type of on the fly discussions -- keep them coming.
  • Good stuff..
