In this episode we sit down with Clint Wyckoff - Microsoft Evangelist from Veeam Software to talk about the future of the Data Center and where Nano Server fits in.   This was a great episode recorded live at the Channel 9 studios at Microsoft HQ.

Nano, may be a great replacement for the SMB market where I have customers still on SBS 2011. small server deployments with Nano

  • @Zane Allyn: Hey Zane - It sure would as it wouldn't require many patches or maintenance.

  • No Toronto?

  • I like the idea that the NANO server will be the same thing running in AZURE so I can actually test the build and functionality without paying for Azure's hosted build controller minutes *AND* developers building for Azure locally will be able to run the "real - live environment" as opposed to some sort of hacked together franken-machine.

It will really cut down on "works on my machine" errors.

WHEN CAN I HAVE THIS!?! !

    I WANT IT NOWWW!!!!

      :)

  • Hey Achesser,

You can test it out now with Windows Server 2016 TP3.  :)

    Thanks

    Dave
