That's really cool, seems that all the really cool conferences and events always happen on the west coast. I think maybe it's time i move. I wish these segments were longer and I'm gonna have to check out that magazine.

I wish I was able to make it to the west coast more often.  I know a few peple who would be right at home at the faire, including a guy who made a multi-can crusher with an anvil in a guillotine frame and a robot out of a refrigerator and some motors.

Everything good is out west...the faire...and E3. *sighs*

Big Smile I was going to just leave the flamethrower + some minor adjustments, but the machine gun just looked so much better. Kinda suits her. Smiley

I've said it once, I'll say it a million times.  I hate Michigan.  I need to get out to Cali, it's where everything happens!  Especially this, Maker Faire just looks incredible.  AOTS did a segment on it a few weeks ago and now 10 talking about it, both segments just made me want to be there even more.  Definitely going to have to look into the magazine as well.

PS:  Laura should not be trusted with a flamethrower!  Very cool yes, but also very scary!

      Maxwell,

Please create a tutorial. Seriously, I can't figure out how the hell you create this stuff.

Ok, so let me ask some more questions:

      1) Do you use a graphic-tablet to draw the ss?

      2) How do you color the pics in Photoshop like that? To me, it looks like the original photo was somehow greatly manipulated with a bunch of Photoshop "tricks". I don't think filters were invovled.

      3) Is there a tutorial out there that you learned the technique from? Was this something you taught yourself?

I use Photoshop a lot, but have never seen anything like this, before. I'd love to know how it's done step-by-step, if possible.

      Thanks.

I've been following her since she was a host on pseudo.com.  She is undeniably the greatest host/guru/fan/enthusiast in the entire gaming and technology world.  Her partner, Tina, is beautiful, smart, funny and likable.  It's time for all viewers of this site to make sure both of them are rewarded with bigtime, primetime jobs.  The american people would be lucky to learn from them.  If paris Hilton and Ryan Seacrest can get network jobs, it's a no-brainer that they belong immediately.  Let's make on10.net matter and get them moved up.  Let's talk about how.....

V360: I work with a wacom tablet and I use a technique that´s similar to traditional illustrating, no effect filters involved apart from some sharpening. I´ll try and post a tutorial soon.
