The Skype Show Episode 11 - Heads in the Cloud
In this episode we speak with Brian Ricks and Tom Arbuthnot about their perception on cloud voice and Microsoft Teams. We cover topics on Cloud PBX, Cloud Connector Edition, Microsoft Teams, Productivity in general and where the future may be taking us.

Brian R. Ricks – Office Servers and Services MVP (MCSM: Communications)
Since 1993, Brian has been working in the IT field implementing Microsoft solutions. In 1999, he obtained his first MCP certification and in 2006 received the MVP award from Microsoft, for what is now known as Skype for Business Server. In 2009, Brian decided to be part of the consultant world and set in motion BriComp Computers, LLC . He provides consulting services to companies large and small as an Architect and Subject Matter Expert in all things Infrastructure and Unified Communications related. In 2013 Brian attended one of the last rotations of the Microsoft Certified Solutions Master (Communications), and not only passed, but is 1 of 22 world-wide holding the certification. Brian holds many credentials including MCSM, MCP, MCSE, MVP and MBA; he resides in Gilbert, Arizona, has been married for over 23 years and has two boys, one attending ASU and the other Campo Verde High School.
Brian is also managing partner of The Best Damn IT Services (TBDITS), which began in 2009 with co-founder John Lockett. TBDITS is a Microsoft Silver Partner in Unified Communications and provides much of the same services BriComp Computers offers but with additional manpower when required.
Tom Arbuthnot – Office Servers and Services MVP (MCSM: Communications)
Tom Arbuthnot is a specialist Unified Communications Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Master and MVP, with a number of years' experience in the field working with many companies across different verticals on global UC projects.
He spent 5 years working for a Cisco UC specialist, before moving to Modality Systems to focus on the Microsoft UC offering. He has been involved in all aspects of UC projects from presales, scoping and design, through to deployment, support and user adoption.
He is heavily involved in the UC community, regularly blogging at tomtalks.uk, co-running the Microsoft UC User Group London (mucugl.co.uk) and speaking at many user groups and global events such as Microsoft Lync Conference, TechEd and Ignite. He is a contributing author to Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Unleashed, and a regular on the popular The UC Architects podcast.
