Sounds like Larry's one of those guys who has truly seen it all and done it all. As a developer myself now in my mid-40s (and still learning), I can appreciate that and always remain in awe of those who've done it for far longer than I have.

I've been using Windows since 3.0 was still a new thing, and DOS before that. I think it's safe to say that Larry's code has been used literally by hundreds of millions of people from around the world. Guys like Larry are those who toil away quietly in the background, get things done, and are generally underappreciated.

For all my decades of using Windows, I wanna say thanks to the guys like Larry, for making what I'll bet is some of the most rock-solid code in Windows today--things you never have to think about because "it just works".
