Windows 10 introduces the Universal Windows Platform, and with it a new way to partition the API surface. APIs are grouped into "device families", and that means you can support a huge range of devices with just one app. Even better, you can still light up the unique features of each of those devices with special adaptive code. For more information head to the Guide to Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps.
