Sustainable Software Engineering: What is Carbon Intensity? | One Dev Question

"Carbon intensity" is a measure of how dirty electricity is. The electricity coming through a wall circuit has this number. It changes by region. In a region where most electricity is created through coal power plants, carbon intensity is going to be high. In a region where most of the electricity is created by renewable power plants, carbon intensity is lower. Carbon intensity is the third principle of sustainable software engineering - consume electricity with the lowest carbon intensity possible.
