Unidesk, a developer of management software for mobilizing Windows apps; and Gridstore, a developer of hyper-converged all-flash infrastructure, have announced a collaboration to deliver lower costs to VDI deployments. Together, Microsoft, Gridstore, and Unidesk provide flexible, high-performance, and easy-to-manage VDI at less than $600 per user "all-in."
"Gridstore's hyper-converged infrastructure and Unidesk's innovative application layering technology are a natural fit, and take the delivery, performance, and management of remote desktops and apps on the Windows Server platform to a new level," said Andrew Conway, Senior Director, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility. "We are excited to see these two companies extend Windows Server technologies and bring great new capabilities and value to businesses of all sizes."
