MedMobile App on Azure Helps Providers with Medication Data Access

iCareHealth has unveiled MedMobile, its new cloud-ready app on Microsoft Azure that's designed to revolutionize the way residential aged care providers capture information about medication administration. MedMobile enables care staff to access and record medication data using a tablet device at the point of care, which then syncs back to iCareHealth's core Medication Management software.

Many residential aged care providers are still reliant on paper-based processes for the administration of medications for their residents. Medication errors, missed signatures, and miscommunication between facility and pharmacy are commonplace with paper-based processes. With MedMobile, residential aged care providers can be secure in the knowledge their medication administration is simple, swift, and accurate.

"iCareHealth was one of the first Australian businesses to utilize Microsoft Azure from our local datacenter regions to drive innovation and deliver better outcomes for their clients. By hosting MedMobile in the cloud, the app is easily scalable based on the size of a residential aged care provider. This means the number of cloud resources available can be adjusted to match the load," said Simon Kos, Senior Health Industry Manager, Microsoft Australia.
