BT Signaal's application Sesam Sesam provides access to a ticketless concept of free-flow parking. It is a solution built on multiple cloud services with scalable Microsoft Azure SQL Databases underneath. Communication with external parking services is simplified and secured by Service Bus relays.
The system is based on automatic number plate recognition on entry and exit. The traffic pattern on parking lots causes unbalanced load with distinct peaks. The Service Bus messaging system smoothly handles that traffic and distributes information among system components. Large volumes of transactions with vehicle images are efficiently kept in blob storage.
