Augmensys has utilized its partnership with Microsoft Azure to develop UBIK, a leading mobile data management software with augmented reality support that is made for use in enterprise scenarios.
UBIK on Azure allows augmented reality to enter the process industry and enables it to enrich a plant with any available virtual data.
"Due to UBIK's deep integration into Microsoft technologies and products, it made absolute sense for us to first and foremost utilize the powerful cloud platform Microsoft Azure. Not only because it is a mature platform, but also because Microsoft has proven to be a reliable and predictable partner for industrial companies over the last decades and moving into the cloud is also about trust, namely entrusting someone else with your valuable data," said Augmensys CEO Jürgen Kneidinger.
Augmensys, a silver level partner with Microsoft Azure in the "application development" competence area, recognized the advantages of Azure for its server components, and uses the matured technology as an efficient standardized offer for their cloud computing customers.
