Westermann Gruppe, a German secondary education publishing group and the maker of kapiert.de, an innovative learning platform, announced it is combining its online portal's learning calendar with the Microsoft Outlook mailbox, enabling students to take assignments from the kapiert.de study organizer and save them to their Microsoft Office 365 Outlook calendars.
"Microsoft has been working with competent partners for decades to develop new paths and solutions in the education sector. The coupling of kapiert.de and Microsoft Office 365 supports students in their academic organizations and develops their digital competencies. With Office 365, which is free for educational institutes to use, students will be fully prepared for the demands of the workplace in the future," said Stefan Schick, Director of Education for Microsoft Germany.
"Through the tie-in with the Microsoft Account, we are broadening the learning calendar on kapiert.de and therefore supporting independent learning," said Dr. Stephan Kyas, the Project leader for kapiert.de. "Pupils get Office 365 Pro Plus for free for the duration of their time at school, and will now be reminded of their work and all necessary deadlines this way. Better organization means better grades and more free time for the pupils."
