Welcome to Monday, our first official day of TechEd, which begins with a Keynote Presentation by Microsoft's Brad Anderson. The TechExpo opens today, and we hope you'll join us for the TechExpo Welcome Reception tonight, 6:00 – 8:00pm.

Community Outreach: 10:30am – 6:00pm, Hall D
Help us make a difference in the local community. Visit the TechEd Commons in Hall D to help build much-needed snack kits for U.S. troops in lockdown and awaiting deployment, or package school supplies for local children in need. You may also want to try your hand at painting murals to brighten local schools and community centers. Any amount of time you spend helping will be rewarding and appreciated!

Channel 9 Live at TechEd: See Mini Guide for Schedule
The Channel 9 team is broadcasting live and unscripted from the Microsoft Solutions Experience in Halls CDEF. Hosts will speak to executives, engineers, session presenters, internet celebrities and industry luminaries, as well as attendees. Be part of the conversation in-person or online via Twitter. Reference @ch9live in your tweet and the Channel 9 host may ask your question live on the air.

Speaker Idol: 12:15 – 12:45pm, Digital Wall
Join Microsoft Regional Directors and hosts of .NET Rocks and RunAs Radio to see who will win this year's Speaker Idol Competition. Held at the Digital Wall in Halls CDEF, Speaker Idol contestants give a five-minute presentation for the audience and judges to compete for a speaking slot at TechEd 2014.

TechExpo Welcome Reception: 6:00 – 8:00pm, Halls CDEF
Join Microsoft product team members, partners, and your fellow attendees at the TechExpo Welcome Reception. Explore the latest products and technologies from TechEd sponsors and exhibitors, meet with Microsoft product groups, and enjoy great food and drinks with the community.
