16: Cognitive Services - Speech to Text
At the SpartaHack hackathon in East Lansing, MI, students Daniel Rings and Michael Donner created StoryTime - an application that converts pictures of text into words; then reads that text aloud in response to voice commands. It combines an iPhone app, Project Oxford, an Amazon Echo and the Alexa service, and a Firebase database. Daniel and Michael demo the application and describe how they built it.
