Our tech guru, Charles Torre, takes us over to meet Kit George and the rest of the .NET CLR BCL team.

Don't know what that is? Well, it's the class library that all .NET applications use. We start out with an interview with Kit about what the team is working on.

  • I thought I'd give a quick intro to the people in the video. In this session, you're getting an introduction to the BCL team, and an look into some of the processes we use to build the framework. Here you get to meet:
Kit George: A program manager on the BCL team, responsible for areas such as IO, and Resources
David Gutierrez: A developer on the BCL team, responsible for cool stuff such as Resources, and CodeDOM
Anthony Moore: The BCL Developer Lead, and resident DateTime expert
  • Really nice Smiley keep it coming! This is the stuff I'm interested in.

Great video. I love the level of transparency Microsoft is conducting through channel 9. Its also nice to see some people from where I live (Australia).

    Keep up the good work.

I watched parts 1-3 all at once on Friday.
  • I like the videos but what about stuff for us non-developers out there.  For one thing, I do not really care what is going on in a lot of the stuff that you have shown about the new VS or some of the .NET development, but the stuff w/ SQL server was great.  How about more stuff on what is coming for net admins and stuff like?
  • Most of the people here probably do like these videos.
  • scobleizerscobleizer I'm the video guy
I try to get the geeks at Microsoft on video. The folks who build product. I'll try to get a few for admins too.

  • Man, I didn't think I was a geek... But I even sound like one. Guess I should just go with the flow. Smiley
