Description

We know you're crazy for Halo 3 news, and here it is. The multiplayer Halo 3 beta will debut on Xbox Live, May 16th at 5AM. (Can I call in sick 5 weeks in advance?) How do you get on that beta? Either through the "Rule of Three" promotion or buying a copy of Crackdown for Xbox 360.

This is your chance to get to try new levels, weapons, vehicles, and try out some new game types. Maps shipping with the beta include Snowbound, Hugh Ground, and Valhalla - all new to Halo 3. Try your hand at the new Mongoose ATV, and gun-up with the new and improved Assault Rifle, Brute Spiker, Spike Grenades, and the killer Spartan Laser.

And this is just a taste of what will be in Halo 3!

And if you're just so curious about Halo 3 that you've recently been put on anxiety medication then check out some behind-the-scenes videos at bungie.net or in HD over Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

I'll be counting the days.  Strangly enough, however, I'm more interested in the story than the ensuing multiplayer fragfest that will dominate live.

I'm still a little uncertain of how the multiplayer beta will work with Crackdown.

Rather than call out sick, just take the week off.  Rest assured, everyone at Microsoft will understand...probably because they all have the same idea. Smiley

I've got Crackdown, and I got in with the Rule of Three thing. I was hoping it would come out in April though Sad Boohoo.

I am in via Crackdown as well and I'm looking forward to getting back into Halo with the latest next-gen enhancements - should be an interesting experience for sure!

Maybe we will be seeing the additional Crackdown content soon as well...

    Am I in?

    No.

My 360 just got the 3 lights the day before the announcement of the start date and I don't have a credit card to get it repaired. I am just not people I guess.

    Enjoy the beta everyone.

Is there any other way Tina to get my box repaired by MS? I mean money isn't the issue, it's this credit card thing that I thought we were passed (since it was a major sticking point for most people connecting to Live). Also no where did it mention that official service was only possible through a credit card transaction.

Additional content would be great for crackdown, however the longer they take they might as well just make a full sequel.

Totally the campaign even with online co-op for 4 players or more will only last so long...

It's all about the online multiplayer and how many new and compelling gametypes there will be. Then if there are new playable characters to break up the monotony of all master chiefs in multiplayer. (I mean after gears with so many different characters it's going to be hard to go back to an all master chief all the time fest again.)

I am all set for it Smiley, bad luck dude:(, i would be distraught if that happened to mine anytime soon. I am interested to see how well the game has come along, moreso now after seeing the latest video Bungie released, it seems like great fun according to the testers faces alone.  LS
