Description

Virtua Fighter 5 will be landing in our hands in the fall of 2007.  It will be rated T for teen and cost you about $59.99.  Here are the details:

The Microsoft Xbox 360™ version of Virtua Fighter™ 5 is based on the latest arcade version update and features both analog stick and D-pad control, as well as vibration support. The game also includes an improved Quest mode featuring more CPU rivals, items, and emblems for character customization. The DOJO mode has added features including leaderboards, training move settings, improved throw escape training, and the option to change your opponent’s position and recovery type. These all work to create a more refined DOJO mode where players can improve their fighting strategy.

Now featuring an online two-player versus mode via Xbox Live®, Virtua Fighter™ 5 will allow Virtua Fighter™ players to compete online. Players will also be able to select one of the 17 characters or customize a character in Quest mode. Customization features allow players to modify their characters by decorating a selection from four base costumes by attaching a wide range of unlockable and earnable items. Players will not only achieve victory by defeating highly-skilled opponents, but also by competing for prizes and earning in-game money which allow them to buy many items at an in-game shop.

...and another PS3 title jumps ship.

I've considered picking up Virtua Fighter 5 for my PS3 as it is regarded as the best console fighter to date, but I'm more of a DOA buff myself.  If I were to invest, I would just assume buy it for the PS3 as I already have all the DOA titles for the Xbox and 360.  I like to diversify my game collection and too many of any kind of game on a single system over-saturates and diminishes the experience, something I try to avoid.  The 360 exclusive features just aren't enough to compel me otherwise.

    Thanks for the update, T-Dub.
