Demo: Containers on Azure with Docker

In this episode on the Containers Channel, we're starting a new mini-series exploring some of the key Container Fundamentals, from Windows Server and Linux Containers, through to images, networking, Dockerfiles, the Docker Hub and much more. In this first episode, Matt McSpirit, Technical Evangelist, and Neil Peterson, Senior Content Developer, take you through a short introduction, exploring Container architecture, comparing with virtual machines and looking at container images before demonstrating how all of these components fit together in a Linux environment.
Stay tuned on the Containers Channel for more episodes soon!
Thank you! In the next video, please explain why you are using the Docker tools instead of PowerShell to manage the containers. I assume this is to appeal to those who are already familiar with Docker, but, if there is any other reason, please discuss, since PowerShell is the standard for management.
This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome updates because Windows XP and Windows Vista will no longer be supported.
I noticed that powershell and dokcer don't manage the same containers on Windows. I created some containers using Powershell (New-Container) and some others using dokcer (docker run ...) on my CTP4 host but Get-Container and docker ps -a don't reflect the same conatainers!!!
