A recent post on the Expression Blend and Design team blog announces the latest version of the Deep Zoom Composer. With this new release, you can now do Panoramic Stitching and PhotoZoom Upload. Here are some more details about these 2 new features:

Panoramic Stitching

Using technology from Microsoft Research's Interactive Visual Group, the Deep Zoom Composer now lets you stitch together similar images inside the application. To use this feature, just gather together a series of photos of the same object or location, right-click on them, and choose “Create panoramic photo.” The application will stitch together all of the images and then ask you which region of the image you want to save. After you make your selection, you can save the image and interact with it just as if it was any other photo.

PhotoZoom Upload

The PhotoZoom upload feature integrates with the Live Labs PhotoZoom service. When you choose “Export,” you’ll be prompted to sign in with your Windows Live ID. Afterwards, you can specify an album name, choose a cover image, and then click “Upload.” When the upload is complete, you can click the link provided to go straight to your album in your web browser.
