Livestation, the desktop player that streams live TV, has just announced that they will be focusing solely on live news going forward. During the service's technical trial, international broadcasters included Al Jazeera, BBC, Bloomberg, EuroNews, France 24, Sky and Canal Plus, all which were streamed live via the service. As they go to launch, Livestation is adding new channels like Setanta Sports News, for example, a UK sports news channel which includes football, rugby, boxing, cricket athletics and darts, which will be available to viewers in both the US and the UK. The final version of Livestation is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2008, but, in the meantime, you can register to download the pre-release beta version at www.livestation.com.
