Developer Camps (DevCamps) are free, fun, no-fluff events for developers, by developers. Attendees learn from experts in a low-key, interactive way and then get hands-on time to apply what they've learned.
Windows Azure Camps – Last week we held the first Windows Azure DevCamp in SVC. The content for the camp is available now as part of the new Windows Azure Camps Kit. This training kit is available through a new Content Installer, which provides developers with a small 4MB click-once application that can be used to simply select and download the individual hands-on labs and presentations they need. The new installer also integrates with the Web Platform Installer to check and install all of the necessary pre-requisites such as SDKs and Tools. There are currently over 100 Windows Azure DevCamps scheduled and registration is open at http://www.devcamps.ms/windowsazure.
Windows Phone Camps – Windows Phone DevCamps based on the new Windows Phone 7.5 Training Course are underway now. This new training course covers both the Windows Phone platform for developers new to phone development and also provides existing Windows Phone developers information on how to leverage the new "Mango" features in existing apps. There are over 200 events scheduled worldwide, so find an event by visiting http://www.devcamps.ms/windowsphone.
Web DevCamps – Web DevCamps are underway now based on the current web platform. New content based on WebMatrix 2, ASP.NET MVC 4 and the new WebApps templates is coming soon. There are over 200 Web DevCamps events scheduled and registration is open at http://www.devcamps.ms/web.
