SlideShare, the online portal for sharing your presentations has just introduced a new application that lets you share your PowerPoint slideshows to Facebook. The app is actually a relaunch of their previous SlideShare app on Facebook and has been completely rebuilt to take advantage of the latest Facebook changes. To use the app, you first create an account within the app itself and then link it to your SlideShare account. That way, any presentations you upload to SlideShare will become available immediately on Facebook and vice versa.

I wonder if something like this will be inheritly doable with the upcoming Office Web Apps. Office Live Workspace/Live Mesh already support collaborative commenting. Where SlideShare adds value is the integration work they did with these social networking sites.
