Push Live TV to Windows Phone 7 With the New SlingPlayer Mobile App

Engadget’s dropped the news that Sling Media Inc have finally launched SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Phone 7.

Previously demoed back in October, the app allows Live TV to be streamed directly from a Slingbox Solo or Pro-HD connected to your TV at home over the air to your Windows Phone 7 handset, wherever you are. TV streams at four times the resolution of previous Windows Mobile generations, and you can switch been a standard and high quality setting to ensure you balance clarity and smoothness. The display quality in the preview video looks awesome, so check it out.

The app allows full control of your set top box at home, so if you’re not happy watching Spongebob Squarepants during your commute, just tap in a new channel number and switch it over. Sure, the kids sitting at home won’t be happy, but just tell them you have a magic phone that can switch off their favourite shows at any time, and they’ll be sure to forgive you.
