The popular multi-platform mobile application Trapster is now coming to Windows Mobile devices. The app, originally launched as a crowdsourced tool for delivering speed trap alerts to lead-footed drivers, taps into its connected community of users to report live speed traps, red light cameras, speed cameras, and even typical police hiding spots. Of course you know you shouldn’t be speeding, but a little heads up certainly helps these days, especially considering the expense of traffic tickets...right? In fact, being notified of all the hidden traps might actually make you slow down once you realize how many there really are.
In addition to speed traps, the new Windows Mobile version will also offer all of Trapster’s other features, including real-time traffic information, accident reports, driving directions, and local search. Soon thereafter, the “My Trips” trip recorder and photo geotagger will be added, too.
The Windows Mobile application is scheduled to launch October 6th in conjunction with the Windows Mobile Market.
