Want to easily add Tweetmeme’s re-tweet button to your blog post? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you have to go check out Tweetmeme.com, a site that tracks the hottest links on Twitter. One of Tweetmeme’s features is a button which website and blog publishers can add to their posts to encourage more tweeting of that link. To use the button on your site, it’s just a matter of copying-and-pasting this code.
However, for users of Microsoft’s Windows Live Writer blog publishing software (no doubt my favorite desktop app ever!), there’s an even easier way to add the button to a post: with the Tweetmeme plugin.
With this little add-in, you can configure various button settings including whether to use the permalink or not, whether to use compact version or not, where the button should appear (top or bottom), and whether it should use your own Twitter name.
