There’s a new Twitter application called Twikini for users of Windows Mobile devices and it’s already getting rave reviews. Loke Uei Tan said that it’s “lightweight, simple, yet powerful,” and Steve Clayton said it’s “pretty nice” with its “small footprint, simple options and several themes.” In addition to being able to run in the background, the app can use the phone’s camera for Twitpic integration, the GPS, media, touch screen, keyboard, and the graphics and storage capabilities of your device. You can read status uploads, post your own in a full screen editor, set your location, and quickly reply, retweet, favorite or email other people’s tweets.
It also supports Windows Media Player integration which lets you automatically tweet the song and artist you’re listening to.
Twikini is written in C++ code for maximum performance and the fastest load time possible, notes the app’s web site. It supports all Windows phones, including Windows Mobile 5, 6, 6.1, and 6.5 and both “Pocket PC” and “smartphone” devices.
Twikini is available as a free download from here or you can browse to http://www.trinketsoftware.com/download/Twikini.cab directly from your mobile browser.
