Help us get the right content on 10

For 10 our goal is to reach technology enthusiasts.

Back in the day they created Excel Macros, Windows 95 Tips and tricks, etc.  Today you create music, manage photo collections, create art, build robots, blog, write scripts and build web sites with technology.   You attend events like Makers Faire, Reboot and Lift.

We want to create a place that you want to be a part of.

We're refining the content style on 10 to now also include text entries highlighting interesting software and services.  The videos will show interesting software from inside Microsoft like applying Getting Things Done to Office 12, building your home network and of course gaming!  On the outside we want to highlight cool stuff folks are doing with tech, conducting interviews with interesting people from the community.

Along the way I'll admit we made some mistake with tone and probably went way too much MTV, but we're learning and trying hard to make it much more unplugged and more timely.

One thing I think we're still missing is a simple, crisp one liner beside the logo that succinctly frames what we are doing.  Like 10 - Tech, Life, Cool Stuff.

So we have some questions...

What do you want to see on ten?
What style and tone do you think works?
What should we keep doing?
What should we stop doing?
What should our tagline be?

If you read our manifesto, we want 10 to be what our users want it to be. Wink

So here's your chance to help us make 10 great.

Thanks for the comments and we're glad you like!

We are definitely going to do higher resolution videos so keep watching for that.  Glad you like the commenting system.  We're working to improve it even more.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Given Microsoft's vision with the upcoming "Live Anywhere" where they hope to tie all things gaming between Xbox to Mobile to PC, I think it would be a natural progression to see this show be offered in a mobile format. Heck, maybe it could be a channel in Live Anywhere?

Afterall, most of your stories are in short video streams. Surely this format could be applied to even todays limited mobile video offerings.  Perhaps something to explore with the Windows Mobile devices first though... just a thought!

Heck you should try offering your stories as free downloads on Xbox live. At least the game related ones to start.

Keep up the good work! Smiley

    Thanks for the feedback!  Smiley

To get our videos on Xbox Live, we'd have to be HD (480p or above), which we're not yet.  It's something we've been thinking about (both HD and Xbox Live content), but we're not there yet.  Good suggestion for sure.

As for viewing on a mobile device it's another thing we've been planning, but haven't had time to implement yet.  We want to have a mobile version of the site at some point down the line.

    Thanks again!
