Description

Hey PowerShell users, do you ever need to search for files while using PowerShell? I do all the time and the standard way in PowerShell just doesn't give me the options I want.

Get-ChildItem -Recurse -Include *.* | Select-String "text to search for"

I want more options and an easier command. So, here is a command I alias as "whereis". It works great for finding files on your computer. If you are a PowerShell purest, you may want to alias it with the name find-file. Whatever you name it, your going to love it!!!

Try it today. The code is available here: http://mythoughtsonit.com/2014/08/whereis-a-good-search-command-line-tool/
