In VS Code, you can author, preview, and compile Markdown with a little bit of one-time setup and a few handy keyboard shortcuts. I know you're a busy developer, so watch me demo the highlights in this sped-up video. If you're already using markdown to author your blog or other text-based web content, this is very cool, time-saving workflow.

Note: Be sure to start by opening an npm-initialized folder in VS Code (not just a single file). You can do this by selecting File > Open Folder... or by navigating to the folder in the command line and typing
code . (the word 'code,' a space, and a period).
