    11:17 Edit:
Josh Legard and Sarah rock! 2 of the smartest people in the Visual Studio Product Group I'd argue.

MSE is cool.  Hope to see more investment in that tool.  Some low hanging fruit is:

    1) Show the path to the exe.
    2) Add the Thread Name if it exists.

PS - Why is sqlservr.exe in the list? Is that just a loader?

So, no tripod on this one, eh?

It's actually not a "new" version of XP rather its a version of XP that is built with the latest security patches, and fixes baked right into the OS....Like Slipstreaming but slipstreaming into the core OS.

Build numbers on the desktop can be enabled via TweakUI.

We plan to do a bit of clean-up on the MSE tool and push out the source code so that people can add stuff they need into the tool.

The amount of investment in the tool is totally up to you.  As Josh says above, we're planning to make it a shared source release, so feel free to jump into the code and play.

You can log bugs and feature ideas for MSE at

I'll have to take a look at the video again to see why sqlservr.exe is in the list.  It's been a while since we shot the video.

Thanks.  I should have added that sqlservr.exe is in my list as a managed 2.0 app (i.e. sql 2005 here).  No threads show.  I am guessing that is a managed loader and not sqlsrv itself as I think sql is native.  Just was curious.  Thanks again and looking forward to adding some features to MSE.

You can find out more details about the job positions opened on the Developer Solutions team at position #1 and position #2.

I was a college hire, so yes, MS does hire college grads.  =) You can find out more info about college hires on jobsblog.

If you live in Australia, you have a couple options .... 1) You can apply for jobs in Australia (http://members.microsoft.com/careers/international/default.asp?lang=EN&loc=AUS) and check out their recruiting blog (http://blogs.msdn.com/ausjobblog/) or 2) you can apply for jobs in the US through our international recruiting team (http://blogs.msdn.com/jobsblog/archive/2005/08/26/international.aspx or apply to ausrec@microsoft.com.  In the US, we do not have a rigid onboarding training, but we do train you on-the-job without requiring that you have prior experience.  We hire lots of college students from the US and abroad each year.
