Description

Windows 7 adopts the successful Office 2007 Ribbon user interface concept. The Windows 7 Ribbon command infrastructure enables developers to quickly and easily create rich ribbon experiences in their applications.

Watch Yochay Kiriaty, Windows 7 Technical Evangelist, and Windows Ribbon product team members Shawn Van Ness, and Sebastian Poulose as we present the new Windows 7 Ribbon XML Markup syntax. The Windows 7 Ribbon layout is defined by XML that is very similar to WPF XAML; it is a major piece of the Windows Ribbon architect. In this video we will view how the Windows Ribbon works, and explore the different XML and layout options that are built into the Windows Ribbon.

Cool, I like that. I have a question: whether it will be possible to use it on Vista or XP as well?

I think that Windows 7 is the only OS that handle this kind of Markup. To older OS implement this they could implement from 0.

I think that in Share option must have a "Send to E-mail" option. It is a solicitation for all articles like that.

      Thank's

Currently (beta), Win7 is required to build and run Ribbon applications.

We do intend to provide a down-level redist for Vista, however this has not been finalized yet.

      Thanks,
