Description

Damian and David discuss how ASP.NET Web Pages could work in ASP.NET 5. Do we need it at all? How should it feel? Should it be a static site generator? Should it be built on top of MVC, or allow migration to MVC? They show off some interesting prototypes of how it could work and invite feedback.

Thank you for sharing that really interesting discussion. And as for me.. I really need Web Pages, it's exactly what I need for small mostly static websites with all might of .NET in background. It will be great if in future there will be possibility easily convert project to static site AND easy migration to MVC, that's really what I'm missing now.

All those new blocks and tag helpers looks good and interesting but I'm afraid it will cause a mess in code. I like declarative way to define layout or authorization but then it's declarative way define MVC controller mixed with its view, why the heck somebody need it? Why they simply not going to MVC instead.. it's literally few additional lines of code and the page will look exactly like MVC controller.
