Description

In this presentation, we will introduce you to Casablanca, a Microsoft incubation effort to explore how to best support C++ developers who need to take advantage of the radical shift in software architecture that cloud computing represents. With Casablanca, C++ developers get modern APIs based on C++ 11 with support for accessing and authoring REST services, asynchronous I/O libraries to support writing scalable and responsive code, and integrated Visual Studio experience for interacting with Azure to upload C++-based projects, native client libraries for accessing Azure storage, and an experimental C++ implementation of the Erlang actor-based programming model.
