I get "incompatible sql server version was detected" when using SSDT verson 14.0.61021.0 on Windows 10.  When I connect with SSMS is says the Linux SQL Server is 14.0.100.187 on Ubuntu 16.04.

@Aaron King: I guess 14.0.61116.0 is the newest version of SSDT.  I thought I installed SSDT from the latest download but it might not have been.  I can now see the linux version with the schema compare tools.
