Does GVFS fix the issue with case-sensitivity being supported in GIT but not Windows? For example, if Dev1 creates a new branch, "/Features/MyNewFeature" and Dev2 creates a new branch, "/features/AnotherNewFeature", the GIT index will create the "(F|f)eatures" folder in whatever case was first used which causes issues for anyone pulling from git.

Does Git Virtual Filesystem support NFS shared location for gvfs mount operations?
