Microsoft IoT Camp occurred on the 20th of February on MIcrosoft Portugal Office in Lisbon. It was the first event around Internet-of-Things in this region, and had the luxury of having Josh Holmes & Robert Eichenseer and an amazing agenda created in partnership with Startups as Iddo, Sensefinity, PharmaAssistant, Findster and RoboParty.
It is our great pleasure to now share with you the sessions we had in this event. From IoT introduction to Microsoft vision going through the Azure services that help you building your IoT solutions, the coolest part was the showcasing of Portuguese initiatives in this area where real experience was shared among the audience, new businesses explained and community events presented.
Besides this open event, we hosted the IoT Hackfest in the afternoon to provide the audience an hands-on experience. We had 44 attendees split into 10 groups who were set the challenge of building a simple IoT solution. We used a set of labs to guide participants through connecting to Nitrogen, sending data, remote controlling lights and finally deploying apps on Arduino YUN devices. Quite an experience for everyone! :D
