      No comment at all about smart/placeholder files is a bit disheartening.

      Since the new engine itself is only coming by year's end, and even long overdue features like long path names are also not coming this year, there's no way smart files gets added back anytime soon...

      This is a question I'm sure is asked often, but I don't think I've ever seen or heard a good answer: why does Microsoft continue to release buggy/unfinished/untested/poorly integrated/just-plain-inadequate software in the first place?
