This session provides an review of Microsoft System Center and Operations Management Suite automation product and services and how they fit together to deliver a cohesive set of solutions to modernize IT operations and embrace DevOps. This includes: Windows PowerShell scripting, workflow, desired state configuration, Microsoft System Center Orchestrator, Service Management Automation, and Microsoft Azure Automation with Operations Management Suite. The session will also cover future investments in Automation across these products and services and how customers can bring their existing investments forward, while taking advantage of enhanced capabilities to deliver automation across their datacenter, private, public, and hybrid clouds.

    The fact that your pushing people to manage hybrid clouds from Azure rather than tooling from your own data centre means of course your locked into the MS stack, totally understandable but not what customers are actually going to want strategically. Oh and the DevOps story is slightly crummy, how about properly hooking up to Visual Studio and TFS, Test automation, realease authorisation and Release Manager. Doesn't look like MS has done anything to bring the two worlds together sorry. Not surprising when one product team silo likely doesn't work as closely as it should be with another. Better investment in time would be Azure Reasouce Manager and products like vRA at least until then sorry
