Cloud Time - Embellishing the Office 365 calendar

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) required a single view of the activities (lectures, tutorials and social campus activities) that a student was scheduled to attend during their time on campus. To achieve this we thought to leverage the Office 365 offering AUT has for students. The logical choice was to enhance the Office 365 calendar functionality available to students by integrating the data from the AUT student time-tabling system in near real-time. This session will cover the development of an end-to-end solution designed to synchronise the on-premise calendar data to Office 365 using Azure PaaS features such as WebJobs, Storage Queues and a SQL Server database. It will cover an architectural overview and code samples.
