In the old days, infrastructure server deployments were fixed points in your datacenter. You'd deploy an infrastructure server with the assumption that it would be in service for many years before two or more major versions would be released and the infrastructure server would be and outdated relic. With Microsoft's new accelerated release schedule, you'll be seeing new server operating systems on a much more frequent basis and your infrastructure servers will become relics faster. The days of deploying core infrastructure services, like DNS, DHCP, DFS and Certificate Services on a server and treating them as fixed long term deployments are gone. In this session I'll take you through how you can prepare to migrating core infrastructure services to newer platforms every couple of years and how not to treat infrastructure services as fixed points in your datacenter.
