About the session:

The Azure Service Fabric is a distributed systems platform that makes it easy to package, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable microservices. Service Fabric also addresses the significant challenges in developing and managing cloud applications.

This session will focus on the development of reliable services and the actor model (created originally in 1973) using Service Fabric, which brings back the OO-model we lost when we all started coding stateless services. Bring an open mind!

About the speaker:

Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft UK, with 20 years of experience in IT and some 8 years of experience with Azure, back from when the Service Bus was still called "BizTalk Services".

Former CTO at |create|it|, a Systems Integrator based in Lisbon, Portugal. BizTalk Server MVP for 5 years, and founder of the Portuguese Software Architecture user group + Portuguese Association of Usability Professionals.
