Description

10Gbps NICs are becoming prevalent in servers, particularly converged networks. Yet customers aren't seeing a 10x improvement over 1Gbps NICs. In this session we'll discuss RSS, VMQ, vRSS, dVMQ, NIC teaming and some surprising external factors which are causing confusion and low throughput. There will be loads of demonstrations on high-end servers and a breakdown of a complex trace to show you how to find bottlenecks on your servers.

Decrease support calls relating to missing or misconfigured RSS/VMQ settings. Prevent customers from seeing Windows as the bottleneck. Increase uptake of Windows Server 2012 (+R2) by exposing improvements in NIC Teaming, Hyper-V and Private Cloud deployments.
