Description

Jay stopped by to discuss a number of topics related to .NET. He first started with an explanation of .net core and how it relates to the full framework (and mono as well). He also spent some time discussing Microsoft's recent open source push and its relation to .net. I was also surprised to learn that there has already been many (accepted) pull requests from several types of developers (whom he describes). Lastly, he discusses the purpose of the .NET Foundation and how it helps open source .net projects.

What happened to "The Road Ahead" with LightSwitch?? Are you ever going to comment? Is it dead, in production, cancelled because of litigation? It was a great product, but frankly now tarnishes your reputation that you won't tell developers what happened. Can't you say something, or Open Source it, or ... ?

What has happend to Lightswitch? At least some kind of statement is somthing the community can expect from MS. Even if it is dead, that should be communicated! The last blog post in the LS team blog is 2 years old!!!!
