In 21 years at Microsoft, Alex has worked on MSN, Windows Live, Xbox, Active Directory, Visual Studio, and other products in a variety of roles. Alex was the GPM for Forefront Identity Manager in 2010, then joined Xbox to work on Identity strategy and anti-fraud. In 2012 Alex’s role expanded to cover account protection for all Microsoft consumer businesses (Xbox, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.), and as of 2014 the Identity Protection team took on accountability for enterprise as well, including Azure Active Directory’s B2E, B2B, and B2C capabilities. Alex serves as the Group Program Manager for the Identity Security and Protection team, chartered with protecting all accounts hosted in any Microsoft IdP. From a feature perspective, the team is responsible for Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, Conditional Access, and MFA, among others.
