I am Cameron Brodeur and I am a Program Manager on the Hardware Developer Experience team, which is probably more widely known as the Plug and Play team. I’ve been at Microsoft for seven years working on a variety of networking and device related technologies for Windows. My job is to deliver great device installation experiences. In Windows 8 I’ve focused on improving the performance and reliability of device installation. My team has basically re-architected the Plug and Play platform to enable devices to install in a fraction of the time they took on previous Windows releases. I love music (guitar player here) and hacking electronics. My current project is building a stereo tube amplifier, which can double as a space heater when the weather turns to rain and cold this winter.
