David Groom is Program Manager responsible for Lync Room System performance and commercialization. His career spans mobile and unified communications product development. David worked on the early Stinger smartphone reference designs and collaborated with mobile operator engineering teams across the globe in launching Windows Phone devices. Prior to Microsoft, he was a member of the Motorola team developing the first generation of microcontrollers with integrated flash memory. David holds a physics degree and co-founded Tokara Japanese Confectionery in Seattle.
