Kathleen Wilson is an Architect at Microsoft for the Datacenter and Cloud Services group. Her focus is on developing solutions for management and the adoption of Private, Hybrid and Public Clouds as well as DevOps. Kathleen’s strengths lay in understanding the requirements to adopt, support and operate solutions either onsite or in the Cloud. Kathleen has over 21 years of experience working in IT Operations and Consulting. Prior to her Architect role, Kathleen was a consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services, Canada and focused on assisting Customers with the adoption of Microsoft products including Service Manager, Service Management and Private Cloud. Kathleen has participated in early adoption programs for Service Manager 2010 and System Center 2012, and participated in the first Private Cloud with a Canadian Customer in 2011. Kathleen is currently the World Wide Modern Service Management Community lead at Microsoft managing a community of some 1000+ members ensuring that Service Management is aligned to Cloud, DevOps, IoT, Big Data and Enterprise Mobility. Kathleen gained her ITIL Foundation certification in 1998, and is currently an ITIL v3 Expert. She is actively tweeting and sharing the #NewRules of #ITSM in the #Cloud to help people rethink traditional Service Management fundamentals and make them more modern and actionable with enabling technologies. She has also delivered Service Manager and ITIL training and was a co-creator of the Service Manager 2010 and Service Manager 2012 Training Courses for Microsoft as well as the author of the MS Press book “Optimizing Service Manager”. She has also been a contributing author to the System Center 2012 “Service Manager Unleashed” book.
