Mark Baxter is a director of Storyshed, a Wellington based information design agency. Storyshed specialises in information design and content strategies, with a focus on developing visual information to explain change and simplify complex business messages. Mark has been with Storyshed for five years. Prior to that he was with IBM for 12 years, working in New Zealand, Asia Pacific and USA. At IBM he was instrumental in developing the New Zealand IBM proposal centre prototype, which went on to become the model for IBM proposal development worldwide. His IBM work took him on large customer engagements across the globe and he carried out an information design lead role for Complex Engagement Services within IBM North America, shaping and developing client information alongside IBM's 'megadeal' sales teams. He maintains his return to New Zealand had nothing whatsoever to do with being able to get paua on his doorstep or great coffee. What he does know is that New Zealand is as stmulating an environment as anywhere in the world right now and and awash with smart people and opportunity.
