I am Phil Cupp, and I am a developer at Microsoft. I’ve worked at the company since 2005 helping design and build aspects of Windows. For Windows 8 and IE10, I helped develop new capabilities in our platform that will make it easier for HTML app developers to build great apps. Specifically, I’ve focused on improvements in CSS that provide app authors with greater control over the layout of their applications, and to better blend their own personality into their apps using the power of CSS. I love working at Microsoft because so many people can relate to what I have the opportunity to work on. The Web is everywhere, and now it’s even more deeply integrated into Windows. Even my mom gets it. Whenever I’m not working on Windows and the Web, I like to read, go for a run, and spend time with my wife and two children.
