Robert Baker

Robert is a disability inclusion advocate who champions equal access for all through public policy, accessibility technology standards, universal design, and promotion of best practices.Through Robert’s leadership on the Federal CIO Council Accessibility Community of Practice, he led the development of the US Government’s Technology Accessibility Playbook, a resource that guides federal agencies to build and mature effective enterprise-wide technology accessibility programs.The playbook is based on industry and government accessibility best practices, and now forms the basis for training federal Technology Accessibility Program Managers.For the past eight years, Robert supported the refresh of the Section 508 standards as an advisor to the US Access Board, and is currently leading efforts to guide federal agencies through the transition to the new standards.
